Masterportal API
The Masterportal API is a programming interface that allows convenient integration of interactive map content into third-party applications. Central Masterportal interfaces are used to conveniently transfer the configurations available there. The Masterportal API is an extension of the open-source library OpenLayers with some functions. These also allow developers without geo-specific knowledge to benefit from the large number of existing Hamburg data sources. Unlike the traditional Masterportal, the Masterportal API does not include GUI elements. This way the highest possible flexibility is maintained in order to develop applications with individual design that are specifically tailored to the use case, without having to dispense with the central mechanisms of Masterportal.
The Masterportal API is licensed under the MIT license.

Masterportal admin
The “Masterportal-Admin” is a web-based application with a graphical user interface that is used to create individual geoportals based on Masterportal. This way even users without in-depth programming knowledge are enabled to configure their own geoportals. This is done by the user either creating a new configuration or adapting an existing configuration according to their own requirements. For example, any geodata sets from the Hamburg Urban Data Platform can be integrated. The connection to other data sources is of course possible. In addition, the desired functions, such as a measurement function for distances and areas, can be integrated. Upon completion of the configuration, the geoportal can be downloaded as a ZIP file and published on a web server.
Masterportal-Admin is available as open-source software under the MIT license.
