The Masterportal version 2.37.0 is available.

The monthly release significantly enhances the feature set of the Masterportal. The routing tool can now utilize many more interfaces, there is a new 3D modeling tool that allows for the drawing of 3D objects on the map, the WebGL render pipeline now supports Vector Tile Layer, printing is now fully supported in 3D mode, and there is a module "login button" that provides an interface to OIDC IDM. As always, there are also changes and fixes.

Masterportal version 2.36.0 now available!

The monthly release brings innovations in particular in the area of ​​3D (colored highlighting) and the WFS-T module now allows the input types "Short" and "Float".
But there are also additions in the area of ​​routing, filters, GFI, mouseover and QuickHelp.

Masterportal version 2.34.0 now available!

3D layers can be configured to be shown in folders. Node.js has been updated to ^18.16.0. In addition the usual bugfixing, especially concerning KML im- and export.

The composition of Masterportal


Standardized interfaces
Masterportal is systematically based on the OGC standards (WMS, WFS, CS-W, WPS) and is therefore ideally suited as a geoportal for existing geodata infrastructures.


Configure instead of develop
Whether it’s a thematic map or a comprehensive geoportal — configuring Masterportal is easy and requires no programming knowledge.


Smartphone, tablet, desktop
Masterportal is built responsively from the ground up and it works on mobile devices, tablets, and the desktop.

Web technology

Don’t reinvent the wheel.
In addition to OpenLayers, Masterportal builds on the tried and tested libraries VueJS, Bootstrap and ChartJS among others.


Participation desired
Masterportal is open-source software. It is published under the MIT open-source license and is therefore accessible and free to use for everyone.


Pure client technology
Masterportal has no server-side dependencies. It only requires a web server and geoservices from a geodata infrastructure.


The modular development approach allows new models to be developed without having to delve too deep into the code.

Use existing information
Geodata infrastructures capture metadata about datasets. Masterportal queries and displays the associated metadata for each layer.
