Version 3.23.0 Released – New Features, Enhanced Compatibility, and Numerous Improvements
Version 3.23.0 introduces new functionality, usability enhancements, and a wide range of bug fixes to further improve the overall user experience.
New Features
One of the key additions is the ability to optionally display icons within the NavTab component, making navigation more intuitive and visually appealing. In addition, the FileImport module now supports the useDifferentLayers parameter, allowing imported files to be automatically placed into separate layers.
The "Measure" module has been enhanced with practical new control elements: From now on, all created drawing elements are clearly displayed in a list. Individual drawings can be specifically selected, edited, or deleted. These improvements significantly enhance usability and make managing your measurements even more convenient!
For developers, a new CONTRIBUTING.md file has been added to simplify onboarding and encourage community contributions.
Expanded Compatibility and Technical Upgrades
Support for modern development platforms has been extended. The application now supports Node.js versions from 22.19.0 up to (but not including) version 25, including LTS 24.15.0, as well as npm versions from 10.9.3 up to (but not including) version 12.
In addition, numerous dependencies and development tools have been updated to their latest versions, including Vue, Three.js, Axios, MQTT, and various build, testing, and internationalization libraries.
Component and Usability Improvements
Several components have been enhanced and standardized:
- The Accordion component now supports heading elements from H1 to H6.
- Multiple modules have been migrated to use the shared Accordion component for dropdown content.
- The CompareMaps functionality now supports all layer types except group layers.
- The NavTab component has been extended with additional functionality and improvements.
A strong focus was placed on accessibility. Keyboard navigation and interaction have been improved across the application, including:
- Arrow key navigation between tabs.
- Space key support for toggling layer checkboxes.
